If you were naughty in the early days of Spring Hill School you could be punished with 'the cane'!

...or, if you did not learn your work you were made to feel bad by being embarrased in front of your classmates. Some schools made you wear a 'dunce cap' and stood you in a corner, but we have no record of this at Spring Hill.
Teachers do not do these things today. They try to get the children to understand when they are wrong and work together with one another.
