Nearly 100 years ago gardening was on the school timetable!
The school garden was in the top yard.

| During the First and Second World Wars the garden was used to grow food which was in short supply. In 1940 everyone was encouraged to grow food if they could. The government told everyone to 'Dig for Victory'. |
